물놀이 할 수 있는 서울 근교 계곡을 찾았다.

출발!
Found a Hidden Stream Near Seoul
Eobi Valley.
Time for a splash!
오전 11시쯤 양양 고속도로.
막힌다.
그래. 이래야 한국이지.
Around 11 a.m. — cruising on the Yangyang Expressway.
And yep... traffic.
Now that’s the Korea I know.
터날 안
막힌다.
산을 얼마나뚫었는지 터널 또 터널 또 터널 계속 이어진다
Inside the tunnel.
Still crawling.
They’ve carved through so many mountains—
one tunnel... then another...
and another...
and another...
on and on.
어비계곡 초입 카페 근처에 있던 계곡물에 입수.
우연히 커피 마시러 들렀다가
물이 좋아서 그냥 여기서 놀기로 했다.
We dipped into the stream near a café at the entrance of Eobi Valley.
We just stopped for coffee… but the water was so clear and inviting, we ended up staying to play.
여기도 물이 차다.
계곡은 물이 차구나.
바위 위가 따뜻하니 좋다.
다정한 아빠와 딸.
The water here was cold too.
Streams are always chilly, I guess.
But the warm rocks under the sun felt perfect.
A sweet moment between a dad and his daughter.
계곡에서 잡은 물고기들.
커피 마시던 컵에 일단 담았다.
물론 잠시 후에 다 방생 해 줌.
고기들은 참붕어라고 한다.
We caught some fish in the valley.
Used an empty coffee cup as a makeshift tank.
Of course, we let them go shortly after.
They were called Cham-bungeo, a kind of Korean freshwater fish.
아이가 정말 뿌듯해 했다.
물고기 잡는 법을 가르쳐줬더니 나중에 정말 잘 잡더라.
주변 아이들에게도 물고기 잡는 법을 전수해 줬다.
Our daughter was so proud.
After learning how to catch fish, she really got the hang of it.
She even taught other kids nearby how to do it. Little teacher vibes.
다슬기도 몇 마리 잡음.
그런데 아무래도 물고기 잡는 것이 더 즐겁다.
We also found a few snails.
But honestly, catching fish was way more exciting.
수박 주스 먹던 컵도 어항으로 쓰임.
따듯한 바위 위에서 잠이 솔솔 오더라.
The cup from our watermelon juice turned into an aquarium too.
Lying on a warm rock made us all sleepy. It was so relaxing.
오리들이 몇 마리 있었는데 사람들이 하두 풍덩 거리니 오리들이 자꾸 피했다.
오후에 사람들이 빠지기 시작하니 어디선가 하나둘 날아왔다.
얼마나 물에 들어오고 싶었을까. 그 느낌이 전해왔다.
미안쿠나. 오리야.
A few ducks swam around, but they kept their distance—
people were splashing a lot.
In the late afternoon, as the crowd thinned out, more ducks slowly returned.
You could almost feel how much they’d been waiting to come back.
Sorry, ducks. We didn’t mean to steal your summer spot.
물고기 잡으려는 오리.
사람들과 너무 멀지도 가깝지도 않게 유지하면서 그들도 잘 보내더라.
One duck tried to catch fish.
They stayed just the right distance from us—not too close, not too far.
Wild but calm. They knew how to share the space.
너무 귀여워서 계속 오리 촬영.
여긴 원래 그들의 집.
여름이면 오리며 물고기며 사람들 때문에 몸살을 할 것 같다.
They were so cute, I kept filming them.
This is their home, after all.
It must be tough for them in the summer—people, kids, splashing everywhere.
수영은 안하고 핸드폰만 보는 남편
졸기도 하고
멍 하기도 하고.
어쨌든 휴식시간.
Meanwhile, my husband didn’t swim.
Just scrolled through his phone.
Dozed off. Zoned out.
Still… it was rest, in his own way.
처음엔 겁 먹더니 어느새 돌길도 잘 가는 딸램.
그래 뭐든 하다보면 늘지.
At first, our daughter was scared of the rocky path.
But before we knew it, she was climbing it like a pro.
That’s how it goes—just try, and you’ll grow.
저녁으로는 닭갈비를 먹었다.
바로 계곡 근처에 있었다. 검색해서 갔는데, 차 타자마자 내림.
엄청 가까웠다.
춘천 닭갈비.
맛있었다.
For dinner, we had dak-galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken).
There was a restaurant right near the valley.
We searched it up, drove just a bit—and we were there.
Super close.
고기는 잘 굽는 남편
익기를 기다리는 나.
My husband grilled the meat like a pro.
I waited... and drooled.
잘 구워졌다.
이게 소금 구이.
Perfectly grilled.
This was the salted version.
이게 양념 닭갈비.
난 소금이 더 맛있더라.
And this was the spicy marinated version.
I personally preferred the salted one.
사진으로 보니 다시 먹고 싶네.
맛나 보인다.
닭 요리는 한국이 최고.
Looking at these photos makes me want to eat it again.
Doesn’t it look delicious?
When it comes to chicken, Korea’s unbeatable.
저기 간판 보이는 곳이 어비계곡 초입
초입에서 조금 올라가면 카페가 있고,
우리는 그 카페 앞 물에서 놀았다.
빵과 음료를 주차장 비용이라 생각하고 주문.
That sign in the distance? That’s the entrance to Eobi Valley.
There’s a café just a bit up from there.
That’s where we played in the water.
We ordered some bread and drinks—not just for snacking,
but also to justify parking there.
옆에 스치듯 보이는 것이 춘천닭갈비.
걸어도 될 정도로 가까웠다.
하지만 굳이 걷지 않았다.
매우 더웠으므로.
그리고 가는 방향상 굳이 그럴 필요 없었다.
That’s the Chuncheon Dak-galbi place on the side.
It was close enough to walk, honestly.
But we didn’t. Because… it was hot.
And because the driving route made more sense anyway.
On our way home, we stopped by a friend’s pension.
Took this snapshot.
My husband said the cloud looked like a deer.
집으로 오늘 길에 지인의 펜션에 들렀다가 한 컷.
사슴 모양 구름이라고 남편이 좋아했다.
즐거운 당일치기 물놀이. 굿.
A sweet little day trip.
One day, one valley, one memory.
